TRANSVER was founded in 1995 with the aim of implementing scientific innovations in the field of traffic engineering and traffic planning in practice.

The highly qualified team of traffic and software engineers continually extend the wide range of TRANSVER procedures and software products. New quantitative models and methods for the detection, examination and evaluation of traffic data for the design, control and optimisation of traffic facility are employed.

TRE-ALTAMIRA is the largest InSAR group worldwide. With over 15 years of experience, it is globally recognised as the world leader in measuring ground displacement with millimetric precision using satellite radar data for a variety of sectors. For the Transport industry ground motion studies using InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology provide crucial information to detect displacement related to infrastructure projects and can be implemented during all stages, from planning through to construction and maintenance.

 Radar imagery processing is the core competence of TRE-ALTAMIRA. Its team’s excellent and current knowledge of InSAR is the key to its success and growth in both commercial contracts and publicly funded projects. TRE-ALTAMIRA is a CLS group company with offices in Milan, Barcelona and Vancouver.

The Logistikum in Steyr, Austria, is the research- and education institute of the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences in the field of logistics and corporate networks and provides:

• State-of-the-art study content with high practical relevance and excellent job perspectives for students
• Various ranges of services to improve logistics competence and highly qualified graduates for companies
• Expertise and professional cooperation in joint projects for research partners
• Design and organization of teaching units and fascinating logistics lectures for secondary schools
• Support and Development through targeted research and transfer activities in logistical challenges for Upper Austria as a business location

Infrastructure monitoring at the network and project level can take strong advantage thanks to the support of the State of the Art in high-efficiency equipment available at the Laboratory of Transport Infrastructure of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (University of Catania) that is one of the most advanced University laboratory in Europe in the field of Road Asset Management. The lab has recently acquired Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN) for total road monitoring and Falling Weight Deflectometer  (FWD) and LWD to test the road pavement bearing capacity and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). 

In this framework, the main application fields will be referred to: asset inventory, Network Safety Management, Pavement management System and Quality Assurance/Control, all of them under the light of sustainability. 

The research group headed by prof. Cafiso has also international reputation and expertise in the field of road safety and statistical analysis of crashes and road features for safety improvements.  

The University of Coimbra was founded in 1290 and constitutes a reference in higher education and scientific research in Portugal, with excellent academic reputation recognized worldwide. It includes 8 faculties and 32 research centres, providing teaching and conducting research in almost all study fields - Exact Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Architecture, Medicine,  Social Sciences, Humanities and Sports - , as well as several structures devoted to promote science and technology, culture and sports.

The UC is also member of CUM [Communauté des Universités du Mediterrané] (160 partner universities), of the SYLFF Network (88 partner universities) and of ERA-More - European Network of Mobility Centres (190 centres in 32 countries).  As for research, the University is currently involved in 367 national projects and 120 international research projects.

The Transport Systems Laboratory of the University of Piraeus has been actively involved in the shipping and transport industry research. The TSL team  has coordinated and/or actively led flagship projects of the European Commission including PROPS, eFreight, eMAR, Contain, SUPPORT, MEDITA, TRAINMOS-II, and has also worked in a series of relevant European projects related to maritime, mobile communications, satellite communications, e-Business, e-Government, Shipping & Transport digital applications.
