   The A-Z University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (UWB) is the only public institution of higher education based in the Pilsen Region. Currently, the University has eight faculties consisting of more than sixty departments and three institutes of higher education. More than 16,000 students studying at the University can choose from a wide of range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study programs, the choice of form of study, i.e. a full-time, part-time or combined form, being a matter of course. 

  A part of the university is a Regional Technological Institute (RTI) is an engineering and technological research centre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia. The Centre came into existence mainly thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund, from the Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovation, Priority Axis 2: “Regional R&D centres”.

“Aiscat Servizi” is a consulting engineering company founded in 2005 as subsidiary of AISCAT, (the Italian Association of Toll Motorways and Tunnels Concessionaire Companies) with the aim of supporting the Associates, by providing added-values services in the fields of road engineering and transport economics.

Since its establishment, “Aiscat Servizi” provided its expertise to both national and international partners, by carrying out many assignments aimed at supporting private companies and public entities in improving management and operation policies of transport infrastructure.

Aiscat Servizi can take advantage from the largely recognised experience and expertise of AISCAT gained in 50 years of activity in the field of planning, design, construction, and daily operation and maintenance of toll motorways and tunnels.

CREAFUTUR is a private foundation promoted by the Government of Catalonia and ESADE Business School. Its mission is to promote and foster innovation in businesses and institutions, understanding people’s future needs and the trends shaping the market, to help detect and disseminate new areas of opportunity through new products, new services, new business models and new communication strategies. All Creafutur projects aim a putting the customer, the user and/or the citizen at the heart of the innovation process.

Creafutur accumulates a wide experience in mobility sector, with special focus on user needs characterization, new mobility concepts evaluation and identification of future business opportunities in urban mobility services.

PROJECTS:

• smartCEM project (CIP ICT-PSP 2012): Four European cities/regions (Barcelona, Gipuzkoa-San Sebastian, Newcastle and Reggio Emilia) come together under the project smartCEM (Smart Connected ElectroMobility) to demonstrate the role of ICT solutions to overcome the limitations of electromobility for cities and citizens. • Smart Mobility project (2011-2012): Creafutur and the Barcelona City Council performed an in-depth study to evaluate the citizens’ needs in terms of mobility and assess the feasibility of deploying an electric vehicle shared service in Barcelona.
• The user of future's train: Smart Mobility (2014-2015): Creafutur carried out a project for the Catalan railway cluster (Railgrup) that aimed to find innovative solutions for rail transport from user needs and main industry trends.
• Urban Mobility project in Barcelona (2013-2016): Creafutur is coordinating periodic workshops between a European automotive OEM and regional authorities in order to identify and conceptualise future mobility services in the city.
• G-MOTIT (2015-2016): a H2020 project that aims to enhance an innovative electric scooter sharing system for urban mobility with EGNSS-based location technology. MOTIT is an innovative service that has been developed in order to solve mobility problems in the city of Barcelona and potentially major metropolitan areas in Europe. gasfill have developed an affordable personal refuelling appliance for cars and vans that use CNG (compressed natural gas) as a fuel. The appliance is aimed at the home and commercial markets and is the 'natural gas equivalent of an electric charging post'. The unit uses natural gas from the normal gas supply to a property and uses a domestic electricity supply for power. The use of CNG leads to lower fuel costs (typically up to 60%), a lower CO2 footprint (20% saving) and cleaner vehicle emissions (low NOx and no particulates). Within the EU there are currently 1.5 million vehicles using CNG with CNG cars and vans being offered by the major manufacturers (VW, Fiat etc). At the moment the users of CNG have to wait until a public access fast fill station is built in their area but these are expensive, hence rollout is relatively slow and limits the growth of the CNG market. gasfill's unit avoids this issue and provides a way of acelerating market growth. gasfill are now seeking partners/investors who can help to ramp up the commercialistion of their product.

The 3 stage oil free compressor in the unit has been developed by gasfill, is patented and can be used for other gases. gasfill are also looking to license their compressor technology for use with gases other than methane
