Public enterprise Road and transport research institute (hereinafter – the Enterprise) is a public non-profit seeking legal entity of limited civil liability the objective of which is to satisfy the public interests by implementing functions necessary for the planning and design of road building, construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance works and their quality assessment.
The Enterprise’s founder and sole shareholder (owner) is a state.

Our mission is to carry out activities which would contribute to the improvement of the condition of road infrastructure.

Our vision is: funds allocated to the development of road infrastructure shall be used in accordance with the cost – benefit analysis method. Decisions on the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance works of the roads of national significance shall be made in accordance with the objective data of road condition and traffic investigations.

The company nast consulting ZT GmbH provides services in the fields traffic engineering, transport planning, environment and infrastructure planning for more than 25 years. In particular the company focuses on traffic control/guidance, feasibility studies, preparation of manual and automatic traffic count data, general projects and detail-planning projects. Since 2005 it is also increasingly active in the field of traffic research and has launced several different research project series.

In 2016 European Commission allocated €57,6M for developing around 150 projects connected to transport from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Instrument (SME Instrument, SMEI) under Horizon 2020.
